Introduction: Welcome to the World of BiomedEzy

Updated: Sep 6, 2024

Human body in a whole is a complex enigma with numerous extraordinary organs functioning autonomously. They do wonders all by themselves. Independent yet so intricately interdependent. Studying every nanoscopic detail of this remarkable structure, let's keep that for the doctors! Yet, we as biomedical engineers must possess sufficient knowledge to:

  • Effectively communicate with medical practitioners when necessary

  • To understand how and why certain medical devices work

  • To put our engineering minds to work and invent new innovative medical devices

Thus in BiomedEzy, we will dive into this deep ocean with adequate PPE to make sure not to get lost. Oh, what is PPE? Well, let's start our journey right here, right now with this.

PPE is the abbreviation of "Personal Protective Equipment" . PPE is used by medical practitioners to prevent or minimize injuries, diseases and exposure to biological hazards like blood, other body liquids and to reduce the risk of cross contamination. Some examples of PPE used in healthcare environments include gloves, gowns, masks, shoe coverings, etc.

Congratulations! That was a great start. We just explored a term from with BiomedEzy!

From this moment, let's embark on this thrilling journey together. So guys, buckle up and fasten your seatbelts NOW because you surely won't want to miss out on this!
